A Flying Success!

The Bridge Breast Network Fly Away with the Bridge, fundraiser held in the Million Air Dallas hangar and terminal was an exceptionally executed delight of the night. The jet plane hangar was amazingly transformed by Hamilton Sneed and Janie Morris into a mesmerizing gala event with a crisp and refreshing theme.

The lovely Sheila Taylor, her passion about The Bridge Breast Network evident in her speech, kicked off the event by reminding the exuberant crowd of the meaning and purpose for the event, which was that “…no woman should have to die of breast cancer because she doesn’t have insurance.”
Restaurants from all over DFW served delicious dishes that tantalized the taste buds and put event participants in the mood to bid on some of the most sought after items of the evening, donated by local businesses. The Torii Hunter Project as well as Joel Hanrahan generously provided autographed baseballs to the auction.

To add to the lovely glowing white ambiance, the band TruBone provided pulse pushing live music which broadened the festive mood and provided just the right touch to an awesome evening. The staff of Odyssey Concierge proudly supported this very worthwhile event by reserving one of the many elegant yet invitingly comfortable tables. Though a glorious evening ended the need for giving still continues. Click here to donate to The Bridge Breast Network.

Meet the CEO: Jerricka Kelly

Jerricka Kelly, CEO of Odyssey Concierge, is described as “highly motivated, detailed oriented, strategic business and life planner.”(www.OdysseyConcierge.com) She has an undeniable presence and when she enters a room she is ushered in by a powerful ray of confidence and charisma. However, it is a tenacious yet humbled spirit which draws clients in and gives way to her enthusiasm and knowledge to help make their very busy and sometimes complicated lives less chaotic. From blessed beginnings in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the thriving Metroplex, Jerricka applies her Communications degree earned from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and her M.B.A. acquired from the University of Phoenix to operate her business with silken-smoothed ease.

OCB: What inspired you to create such an innovative business? How did you research and come up with the concept.

I knew that I wanted to provide elite clientele with quality professional services. I was in the middle of making a career change and I was in the process of creating and branding myself. I was meeting with my business mentor Ed Butowsky and he said to me "Jerricka you are beautiful, and smart...and you are not an order taker....you give orders" so I took what he said went home prayed and meditated on it. There Odyssey Concierge was created. I then googled premiere concierge services, to see what services they offered and price structure, etc...

OCB: In developing your company what was your immediate goal? How did you achieve it?

My immediate goal was to make myself an invaluable asset in my client’s life. I achieved this by going above and beyond the call of duty, being detailed oriented, and building an efficient network of people to assist me and my clients.

OCB: What makes Odyssey Concierge unique?

Our firm is unique in the aspect of we are not just personal assistants, we are managing lives and livelihoods. As CEO, I have a background in journalism, PR, and marketing. We've combined all those skills with personal assistance and household management to assist our clients with their professional and personal endeavors.

OCB: How are you NOT like a personal assistant?

The services the firm offers far exceeds what an average personal assistance does. Of course we assist our clients with errand service etc., but they also call on us for more serious matters and place them in our care with the confidence that it's no longer a concern for them.

OCB: Are you a one woman show or are their other’s in the background assisting?

I have a team and utilize my virtual team to assist our clients with home cleaning, catering, personal chefs, lawn care, among many other needs.

OCB:  What aspirations are you setting for the growth of the firm in 2012?

We have now brought in blog manager who will assist with letting the public and supporters of all OC initiatives and client professional undertakings.

OCB: How does Odyssey Concierge give back to the community?

We have a handful of charities and foundations that we volunteer with every year and have since we have been in creation. Visit our website to see just how dedicated Odyssey Concierge is in supporting the community.
OCB: For women out there who are considering stepping out on faith and initiating their own business, what words of wisdom do you have for them?

I would advise them to be cognizance of branding themselves in the beginning, seek out a mentor in the field they are looking to tap into, be consistent, and be professional, stay focused and do the necessary research in the beginning.

OCB: Any last thoughts, shout outs or plugs?

I'm very blessed to have the opportunity to serve my clients. Our mission is to simplify their lives.
